Pick the date the gift is needed
A stocking for Christmas morning and an Advent countdown have different deadlines. For an Advent calendar, plan to receive it before December 1 so the first day can be used. For a Christmas gift, choose the date of your exchange or gathering; that may be earlier than December 25.
The recommended Christmas dates on our home page are not Advent delivery cutoffs and are not guaranteed arrival dates. Check the destination and the full preparation-plus-transit range for your own deadline.

For example, the longest published Australia/New Zealand estimate adds 3 preparation days to 22 transit days: 25 business days before any additional buffer. These days are not calendar days. Weekends, public holidays, peak-season handling and customs can make the calendar wait longer.

This tool counts Monday to Friday, starting after the order date. It does not know local public holidays, carrier collection times, stock changes or customs delays. Your extra buffer is a planning preference, not a delivery service or guarantee.
Use the result to make a decision
- If even the earliest estimate is after your deadline, do not rely on this route for that occasion.
- If your deadline falls inside the estimated range, arrival in time is uncertain. A range that includes December 1 does not mean an Advent calendar will arrive before it.
- If the longest estimate and your chosen buffer finish before your deadline, you have more planning room. The result still does not promise delivery by that date.
After ordering
